Questions and answers
- 001Q.What will I receive?
- 002A.A checked transcript or meeting notes in the format you agree, with speaker labels, references or timecodes as required, delivered as Word and PDF files.
- 003Q.Do you write formal minutes?
- 004A.Yes. Formal minutes of the discussion, decisions and actions are written up after the meeting and priced on request.
- 005Q.When will I hear back?
- 006A.Within one working day. An enquiry does not hold a date.
- 007Q.What should my first message include?
- 008A.The service, duration, deadline and format. For live work, add the date, start time, remote or in-person attendance and a general location. Keep it non-confidential.
- 009Q.How do I send the recording?
- 010A.Only once the scope and transfer method are settled: usually a named-recipient Microsoft 365 link or your own secure system. Never through this website or as an ordinary email attachment.
- 011Q.Is AI used on my material?
- 012A.Not without your explicit written authorisation. Your material does not go into AI or automated-transcription systems otherwise.
- 013Q.Who else sees it?
- 014A.No one else works on it. One transcriber has human access unless you agree otherwise in writing, and the record goes only to the recipients you name.
- 015Q.How are corrections handled?
- 016A.Review the document promptly, especially names, numbers, dates and terminology, and report any apparent transcription, attribution, formatting or omission issue within 10 working days, with enough detail to find it; a line number is ideal. Verified errors within scope are corrected free of charge, and issues found later are still considered. A correction does not change what was said, resolve genuinely inaudible audio or convert the document to a different format.
- 017Q.When do reviewed live notes arrive?
- 018A.On a date settled before booking, based on the length of the meeting, the format and any recording check.
- 019Q.Which platforms and locations are covered?
- 020A.Remote across the UK on an agreed video platform; in person in London and reasonable nearby locations. Multi-day work elsewhere in the UK can be considered.
- 021Q.Is there a minimum charge?
- 022A.£30 for recorded transcription; two hours for live note taking. No VAT is currently charged.
- 023Q.Can a transcript be certified?
- 024A.No. This is not a certified transcript service, official court reporting or an HMCTS-approved service.
- 025Q.Can an NDA be signed first?
- 026A.Yes, before you send source material. It adds to the agreed handling terms rather than replacing them.
- 027Q.Can I try the service first?
- 028A.If you have a genuine upcoming assignment, you can ask for a complimentary transcript of up to 15 minutes. Live sessions cannot be trialled.
